1st Year Supplementary Result 2026 – Supply Exams Guide

Not clearing a subject or two in the annual exams is more common than students think. Every year, thousands of 1st year students across Punjab sit in supplementary exams (now officially called 2nd Annual exams) to clear the papers they missed. If you have a supply, this guide walks you through who can appear, what the schedule looks like, and exactly how to check your 1st year supplementary result 2026. Board-specific announcements matter here too. For example, the BISE Gujranwala 1st year result page tracks Gujranwala board’s supply schedule separately.

Each board releases its own supply schedule, so the dates and procedures below apply across Punjab with small board-wise differences.

Who Can Appear in 1st Year Supplementary Exams?

If you failed one or two 1st year subjects, you can clear them in the 2nd Annual (supplementary) exams — your passed marks stay safe, and you only reappear in the subjects you failed. And under Punjab’s April 2026 exam reform, failing more subjects no longer means repeating the year: students who fail one or more subjects retake only the failed subjects through supplementary or re-examination chances, with up to six attempts within four years. Read the full breakdown of six attempts in four years under Punjab’s new exam policy. Private candidates follow the same process through their respective boards. Exact admission rules still differ slightly from board to board, so confirm the dates and procedure on your board’s official website.

One thing worth knowing: your marks from the subjects you already passed stay safe. You only reappear in the subjects you failed, and your final result combines both.

1st Year Supply Result 2026 Date

The boards announce the 2nd Annual (supplementary) exam schedule separately, after the annual result. There is no single date for all boards. Each BISE (Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Sahiwal and DG Khan) issues its own date sheet, usually a few weeks before the exams begin.

Once the exams are conducted, the 1st year supplementary result is typically announced within two to three months. Keep checking your board’s official website and this page, because we update the schedule as soon as any board notifies it. For date-related updates you can also see our 1st year result date and time guide.

How to Check 1st Year Supplementary Result 2026

The checking methods are the same ones you used for the annual result:

By roll number. Visit your board’s official website on result day, enter your roll number in the result portal, and your supply result appears on screen. If the site loads slowly (it usually does on result day), wait a few minutes and try again instead of refreshing repeatedly. Our online result checking page explains the process step by step.

By SMS. Type your roll number and send it to your board’s SMS code. Multan board students, for instance, can use the code listed on the BISE Multan 11th class result page. You get your marks as a reply within minutes, and it works even without internet.

Through the gazette. Boards publish a result gazette PDF containing every student’s result. Download it from the result gazette section, open it, and search your roll number or name.

What to Do After the Supply Result

If you clear your supply subjects, congratulations. You move on to 2nd year like everyone else. Get your admission sorted early so you don’t fall behind in the new session.

If things didn’t go your way again, you still have options. You can reappear in the next annual exams, and many students do exactly that and perform better with a full year of preparation. Talk to your teachers about where you lost marks; targeted preparation for one or two subjects is very doable.

Students from other boards can check their own board’s supply schedule on the Sargodha board 11th class result 2026 page or the Bahawalpur board result updates page.

1st Year Supplementary Result 2026 FAQs

Is the supplementary exam difficult?
It follows the same syllabus and paper pattern as the annual exams. Students often find it easier because they prepare for fewer subjects.

Will my supply appear on my final certificate?
Your result card is issued against the 2nd Annual session, so the attempt is recorded there. Colleges and universities treat a supplementary pass the same as an annual pass for admission purposes.

Can I apply for rechecking of my supply result?
Yes. Every board opens a rechecking window for a few days after the result. The fee and procedure are announced with the result notification.

What is the difference between supply exams and 2nd annual exams?
They are the same thing. Punjab boards renamed supplementary exams to “2nd Annual” exams, but students still commonly call them supply exams.
